Boryeong Invites Foreign Visitors for a Supported 7–30 Day Stay

Boryeong, the West Coast city best known for mud flats and Daecheon Beach, is not only selling day tickets this autumn. The city is recruiting foreign nationals for a supported stay of seven to thirty days between 18 September and 30 November 2026 — with cash help for lodging, meals, transport, activities, and basic travel insurance.
Only five to ten people will be selected, solo or in pairs. If you can rearrange a longer stop on the Chungnam coast, this is one of the more concrete local offers aimed at overseas visitors this season.
Who Can Apply
- Foreign nationals aged 19 or older
- Address outside South Chungcheong Province
- Willing to stay in registered Boryeong accommodations for the full chosen period
This is not a job visa program. It is a tourism promotion stay: you live in the city, complete simple promotional tasks, and claim support after the visit with documents.
What the City Pays
Lodging: ₩50,000 per night per team (registered stays)
Daily (meals + local transport): ₩20,000 per person per day
Activities: ₩100,000 (7–10 days) or ₩150,000 (11–30 days) per person
Travel insurance: up to ₩20,000 per person (city-covered)
Payments are not handed out on arrival. After the stay you mail supporting documents within 15 days; the city aims to transfer eligible amounts by the 25th of the following month.
What You Must Do
Expect five individual tasks and one group task. Reported examples include inviting someone to visit and posting proof, writing a travel review on Boryeong’s tourism site, posting tourism content online, joining a stamp tour, completing a satisfaction survey, and — as a group — promotional content such as a short tourism video.
Treat the stay as half holiday, half light content work. Read the official form carefully before you apply.
