30th Busan Sea Festival Returns to Dadaepo Beach
Seven days of fireworks, live music, beach food, and sunset nights on Busan’s western shore — through August 13.
Busan’s signature summer festival is back for its 30th edition. From August 7 to 13, Dadaepo Beach turns into a waterfront stage of fireworks, concerts, open-air dining, and student-led programs — all set against one of the city’s best sunset views.
Unlike the denser eastern beaches, Dadaepo offers a wide stretch of sand and an open horizon where the Nakdong River meets the sea. That setting is the heart of this year’s festival.
What’s On This Week
Opening night (August 7)
The festival opens with the Dadaepo Fireworks Show — a roughly 17-minute display launched from three barges offshore, timed around 8:00 p.m. Opening ceremonies and the first night of the beach food zone run the same evening.
Dadapocha — beach food zone
One of Korea’s largest beach dining setups, with seating for about 2,000. Professional vendors operate August 7–9 and 12–13. On August 10–11 the space shifts to Youth Pocha, run with university teams.
Sunset Beach Club (August 7–9)
An open-air lounge format with DJ sets, tropical lighting, wellness activities, and evening beach-club energy along the shore.
Live stages
- August 8–9: Dadapocha Stage lineup includes Heize, Paul Kim, and additional acts such as Oops, Gehtts, Band Girin, and Tokkapella.
- August 10–11: Youth by the Sea — campus-style stages and food, with appearances by rappers Yang Hong-won and Han Yo-han.
- August 12: Folk Rock Concert with Jatanpung and the Kim Jang-hoon Band.
- August 13: Sea Concert closing program with youth choirs and family-friendly performances.
Dadae Beach Market
Local makers, secondhand finds, and upcycling workshops run alongside the main stages on selected days.

Getting there
Take Busan Metro Line 1 to Dadaepo Beach Station (다대포해수욕장역). The beach is a short walk from the station. On peak evenings — especially opening night — road lanes and nearby parking lots may be restricted; public transit is strongly recommended.
