Four days of summer gizzard shad at Palpo Food District — grilled, raw, free tastings, bare-hand catching, and harbor fireworks.

The 23rd Sacheon Samcheonpo Port Natural Jeon-eo Festival (제23회 사천시 삼천포항 자연산 전어축제) runs 20–23 August 2026 at Palpo Food Specialty District on Samcheonpo Port in Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do.

Jeon-eo (전어, gizzard shad) is the reason to come. Summer “hat-jeon-eo” is rich and aromatic; locals treat this port stretch as one of the clean, early places to eat it well. The festival is free to enter. Food is sold at participating restaurants with unified prices during the event.
