Petit France to hold ‘Mask Festival’ until February next year
A small European village in Korea called “Petite France & Italian Village Pinocchio Wadavinci” announced on December 7th that it will hold the “Mask Festival Winter Venice Carnival” until February next year.
Located in Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, Petite France and Italian villages opened under the theme of French author Saint-Exupery’s “The Little Prince” and Pinocchio and Leonardo da Vinci.
Petit France and Italian villages will expand the Venice Mask Experience Center for the Winter Venice Carnival Festival.
The existing mask experience center has been renewed to display more than 100 different types of masks in Venice including Colombina, Medico Dela Feste, Bauta and Gatto, which were airlifted from Italy. Visitors can try on their own masks and capes, and feel like they are actually participating in the Venice Carnival.
Winter House will open in Da Vinci Square. Winter House is a pop-up store with themes of masks and Christmas. Visitors can also enjoy mask and costume experience here either.
The “Starlight Photo Zone” has been prepared where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities in the village of Petit France and Italian village. Under the winter night sky, which looks like dark indigo paint, the night streets of France and Italy are created.
Petit France & Italian village has been selling annual membership for four seasons since last month.
The annual membership is 48,000 won (41 U.S. dollars) per adult and 58,000 won (52 dollars) for With Child membership that both adults and children can use together. It is available on Naver and Yanolja websites.
