Gangneung Dan Dan Dan Festival will be held in November 19th
The Gangneung Danoje Committee will hold the “2024 Hard Dan Festival” at the Gangneung Danoje Training Center from the 19th to the 23rd.
The Dangdan Festival means the best festival (端), the only one (單), and the only one (團) and our group (團).

It is a festival designed with the intention of discovering the most Gangwon-do-like contents, increasing the cultural enjoyment rights of local residents, and revitalizing the tourism industry in the region.
On the 19th, the opening day, four performance groups, including Gangneung Funeral and Wonju Owl, representing Gangwon-do, will open the festival with the opening performance, “Yeonhee in Gangwon.”
They are determined to express the most perfect performance ensemble of Gangwon-do, including moon-gut (exsorcism perfomance) and Gilnori (traditional masked dance parade), Bukcheong sajanori (Lion masked dance), and an exciting percussion feast, including an ensemble of Korean traditional drums.
On the 20th, Yeonhui Gongbang’s Omnibus Puppet show ‘Yumma Gangguang Theater” will be performed, on the 21st, Children’s Traditional Performance “”Yeonhee Hanmadang” and “Wemu’s Six alleys” will be performed, and on the 22nd, “Park In Sun Show,” a national intangible heritage mask dance completionist, will be performed.
On the 23rd, Samulnori’s fourth team’s performance will mark the end of the Dan Dan Dan Festival.
In particular, this year, a stamp rally will be held to present eco-bags and pot stands, which are goods of Gangneung Danoje, to a total of 120 visitors who have watched more than three of the six performances of the event.
In addition, Dano permanent experiences such as making new shares, making wish lanterns and Jangmyeongru, making fans, and wearing clothes will be held in front of the Gangneung Dano Festival Training Center during the festival.
In addition to the main event, performances will be held at Gangil Girls’ High School on the 19th, Munseong High School on the 20th, Gangneung Senior Welfare Center on the 21st, and Gangneung Disabled Welfare Center on the 22nd to share excitement and excitement throughout Gangneung.
