K-Occult film “The Priests 2: Dark Nuns” are pre-sold in 160 countries
Director Kwon Hyuk-jae’s Korean occult film “Black Nuns” was pre-sold to 160 countries overseas, distributor NEW announced on the 17th.
Starts premiere with Indonesia and Mongolia this month, it will continues to Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam next month and also be released sequentially in other countries as well.
“Black Nuns” is a story of Sister Junia (Song Hye-kyo) and Sister Michaela (Jeon Yeo-bin) who go to a forbidden ceremony to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
This film is a sequel to Jang Jae-hyun’s box office hit “The Priests (2015).”
In Korea, it will be released on the 24th, just before the six-day Lunar New Year holiday, which lasts from the 25th to the 30th.
As of 11 a.m. on January 17, it ranks first in the overall reservation rate with 24.3% (about 74,000 reservation audiences).
