‘Seoul Moon’ balloon attraction has officially launched

Why don’t you take a picture of your life with the sky of Yeouido as the background.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on August 23 that Yeouido Park’s “Seoul Moon,” which was selected as a new night view attraction, will be officially operated.

“SEOULDAL,” a compound word of Seoul and the moon, has the appearance of a full moon. Although it looks like a hot air balloon, it is a mooring gas device that uses helium gas buoyancy and moves vertically by connecting the ground and body with cables.

Although it moves sideways to some extent depending on the wind, there is less vibration when boarding and the risk of departure is low. There is no risk of falling as an internal safety net in the form of a net is installed all over the place.

The “Seoul Moon,” a massive helium balloon with a diameter of 22 meters, rises to 130 meters in the sky, which is 40 stories high.

The view is so good that you can see the Namsan Mountain beyond the Han River on a fine day. This weekend, you can enjoy a unique experience while enjoying the beautiful daytime and nighttime scenery along the Han River.

Seoul Moon has a maximum of 30 passengers, but due to the influence of the wind, it is actually operated with only 6 to 15 passengers on board. It runs from 12 o’clock, but when the wind blows strongly, the operation begins at 6 p.m. As such, it is a good idea to check whether it is running before boarding.

You can enjoy flight for about 15 minutes including takeoff and landing time, and you can fly up to 130 meters. On windy days, people can climb up to 100 meters for safety. However, there was no obstacle to viewing the cityscape, so you don’t have to worry about this.
