Cool city Taebaek’s Han River and Nakdong River Origin Festival
The “Han River and Nakdong River Origin Festival” in Taebaek City, Gangwon-do, will open on the 27th and will be held throughout the city for nine days.
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the Taebaek area in the highlands, the festival is held every year with the content that there are no midsummer tropical nights, and this year is the ninth.
In particular, it highlights the fact that it is Taebaek, the origin of the Han River and Nakdonggang River, and organizes programs based on healing and wellness to provide citizens and tourists who are tired of the heat with time to rest and recharge.
On the 27th, the first day of the festival, a water walking parade and opening ceremony will be held from Taebaek Station to Hwangji Pond.
It will then run various programs such as cultural performances, Cool Water Night, and Cool Beer Festival.
In addition, local attractions such as Aurora Park, Gusungso Village, Jangseongtan Madang, and Hwangji Pond can enjoy performances, food, beer festivals, and cool movie theaters through cool picnics.
We also operate playgrounds, experience booths, photo zones, and expert talk shows for pets.
In addition, night markets (Hwang Bu-ja’s daughter-in-law night market, Taebaek Hwangji night market) are operated every Friday and Saturday in the water road restoration section near Hwangji Pond (Culture Plaza) and Market Buk-gil to boost the excitement of the festival.
An official from Taebaek City said on the 12th, “We will be able to forget the heat in Taebaek, where there is no tropical night, and take memories of enjoying various night market stage performances and food through the festival.”
