BLACKPINK Lisa, comeback on June 28th with new single ‘Rockstar’

Lisa of girl group Black Pink will release her solo new song “ROCKSTAR” at 9 a.m. on June 28, according to distributor Sony Music Entertainment Korea on the 19th.

The day before, Lisa unveiled the artwork of “Rockstar” on her personal agency “Loud Company” official Instagram.

“Rockstar” is the first music to be released after a partnership between the Loud Company, founded by Lisa, and RCA Records, a label under Sony Music, one of the three major U.S. distributors.

The photo released together shows Lisa looking at her with intense eyes, tanned skin, wolf-cut hair for her new album concept, white costume and silver jewelry.

In response, Black Pink member Rosé expressed her expectations for the release of Lisa’s new album with an emoticon with a surprised expression and a burning heart-shaped emoticon.

BLACKPINK, to which Lisa belongs, debuted with their first single album “SQUARE ONE” in 2016 and signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment in December last year. However, all the members failed to renew their contracts individually.

Lisa announced the establishment of a one-man agency in February on her personal account after her personal renewal with YG Entertainment failed, saying, “I introduce LLOUD, a platform that can show my vision in music and entertainment.”

Lisa’s individual activities will be conducted through LLOUD, and BLACKPINK’s activities will be with YG Entertainment.
Lisa’s new song “ROCKSTAR” will be released at 9 a.m. on the 28th in Korean time.
