Chuncheon Makguksu & Dak-Galbi Festival open in june 18th
The Chuncheon Makguksu Dak-Galbi (Chicken Galbi) Festival will be held in the area of the free parking lot of Legoland for six days from the 18th to the 23rd.
In particular, this year, foreign countries participated in the Chuncheon Makguksu Chicken Galbi Festival, drawing more attention.
According to the city, the opening ceremony of the Chuncheon Makguksu Dak-Galbi Festival will be held on the main stage in the festival hall at 6 p.m. on the 18th.
At the opening ceremony, there are plenty of things to see and enjoy, including a Hello Concert and 1,500 fantastic drone shows.
It is noteworthy that the opening ceremony will be a performance before the ceremony, and a traditional performance of Chuncheon City’s overseas sister city will be held. The International Pavilion, where foreign countries participate, will also be operated during the festival.
The Chuncheon Makguksu Dak-Galbi Festival is the first step toward a global gastronomic festival.
International booth will offer exotic foods from overseas for free on a daily basis. Visitors can experience coffee and traditional liquor by country with baristas.
In addition, various programs such as the Masked Mak Dak Show (20th), the Trot Silver Song Festival (21st), the Youth Dance Contest (23rd), the Lake Starlight Tour (18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd), and the Lake Drone Light Show (18th, 21st, 22nd) were prepared.
Also, it helps you enjoy not only the festival venue but also the entire Chuncheon city through discounts linked to accommodation and admission to major tourist destinations.
Through an agreement with Legoland Korea Co., Ltd., the festival venue was changed to a free parking lot for Legoland to solve the accessibility and parking problems raised at the last festival.
In addition to the rip-off fee reporting center to root out rip-off fees, Chuncheon City’s self-sustaining organization plans to operate a rip-off fee control team.
Chuncheon Mayor Yuk Dong-han said, “We will try to make it a festival that can satisfy both citizens and tourists,” and added, “We will promote Chuncheon, a 10 million tourist city, by leapfrogging into a global gourmet festival.”
